Carrie is our principal ergonomist; she launched Taylor’d Ergonomics in 1995, after working in the field for six years. Carrie holds an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics, and a Master of Science degree, both from the University of Guelph. She has attained professional ergonomics certification in Canada (CCPE) and the United States (CPE), and has experience in many industries, including automotive parts and assembly, food processing, small motors, offices, chemical processing, airlines, nuclear, and health care. She is also a Registered Kinesiologist. Carrie is based in our Cambridge office.
As principal ergonomist for Taylor’d Ergonomics, Carrie has many administrative and marketing functions. She has also managed the following functions/projects:
Program development. Carrie has overseen our team’s service development, including our "on-site ergo program", ergo audit, ergo design guidelines, remote office policy, and heat stress prevention policy. She is committed to the standardisation and continuous improvement of our services, and has ensured that we have “standard operating procedures” for all of our assessment processes.
Ergonomics workshop development. Carrie leads the development and maintenance of our workshops. She is committed to adult learning principles, pressing us to create valuable hands-on experiences in our in-person and virtual training environments.
Carrie enjoys assisting clients in developing successful ergonomics programs, both locally in small facilities and corporately. She is responsible for leadership, marketing, and sales aspects of our business. Carrie is committed to the standardisation and continuous improvement of Taylor’d Ergonomics services.
